Sai N.E. project second set (TECH.exe)

The Sai N.E. project second set
TECH.exe

This is not only an update on my old brush presets from part 1, but I’ve also added new brushes and textures for use in Easy paint tool sai. I decided the second release should be something that pushes sai into a realm of digital art… literally. While at the same time, experimenting with a few ideas I’ve been researching into.

Currently I’m still looking into ideas for more textures and brushes. I have a few more textures I have in reserve for the next instalment I’ll be releasing after I gather enough of them.

In this pack I dropped in 4 files each named techno dots. If used in the right order with the airbrush it can create interesting effects. For example, if you use a min size of %100 and use a large brush, you can see that by sliding it across the page it will create big dots near the center of the cursor while making little dots near the boundaries of the brush.

Using this idea, I’ve been looking into ways to create variable textures that get thicker or multiply the images on it. All depending of the density of the brush and how many time you draw over the same area. But that’s for part 3.

Details
-Brushtex=21 seamless textures
-Blotmap=2 seamless textures (copies from brushtex, fool proofing installation)
-Elemap=8
-Toolnrm=11 presets
-Logo picture for pack
-Install notes
-Start-Sai.exe

The first batch of my custom brushes for Easy paint tool sai are completed. I'll be putting a pic of some of the brushes in my gallery very soon. It won't be very professional looking (newbe at drawing still, slowly getting better) But it will showcase them in all their glory.

The Sai N.E. project is done pack 1...
Now what the hell am I going to do for pack 2!?

Details
8 .bmp files (brushes)
5 .ini files (sai brush info. for the program to read)
2 pics showing the brushes

Sai N.E. project

Well I recently acquired a copy of Sai. It has a lot of interesting features that a data miner like me can get into. But what intrigues me is the freedom you have when creating a brush. I have tested a few interesting combos and have had a few good outcomes. I have to experiment with the program some more, but since I am low on the drawing skill at the moment--heh heh-- I'm leaving this journal here in hopes that I may find someone who can drop an idea into the hat.

I got the tech to create some brush bmp's and texture files. But I would love input on what artists out there in the digital world would like. It would save me time learning the trade if I knew what custom brush would make another artist's life easier. It's win win.

On a side note--if anyone cares--I haven't forsaken writing. I just found something I can sink my teeth into. This will be an ongoing project. No idea when it will get done.

If you wish to make a suggestion, please remember I haven't played with every program out on the market. I need a idea to create upon a possible use for it. Meaning, what will this brush do--tech wise--and what could it be used for--art wise.

An example would be a brush that could make 2 lines side by side that thicken when used with the pressure sensitivity feature. This could be used for making hair strands or eye lashes with a little more flair to them, Or make some odd flowers that silently say....evil...

The description doesn't have to be that detailed, but you get the point. An idea and a possible use at least. And if it involves a texture--for like scales or glowing veins--point me to something as an example for a reference.

Story = 6.7k words so far.

Yay! It’s getting bigger!

One on the things I hope my future girlfriend never says to my face.

My teeth are doing funny things.

Face tingly sometimes.

Not from the ibuprofen.

Oh joy.

Happy holidays people.

4 days till 21...

Turn the track up!

Devious Journal Entry

My newest story 3.6k words and rolling. Not by much but still rolling. Still have many more donamos to set up before I can pull out a combination punch and put this story to bed.

Teeth are ok. The day that I sleep under the purple clouds of painkillers is approaching quickly. And then I’ll have 4 big holes in my face where my wisdom teeth were. Oh joy.

Drawing training is going good. I’m getting a lot of good resource material online for autonomy and that (Yay you tube, Google images and all the online galleries I normally lurk). Only problem is that I can’t really enjoy some things anymore. Like I used to be amassed when I see some of my favorite artists post something funny… But ever sense I’ve been learning how to draw. My data miner side goes right into high gear and disassembles the picture in front of my very eyes. It’s good when you want to learn how something is made. Bad when your looking at a cover of a magazine at the checkout line and not paying attention to anything else.

I’m messed up… HA!
